This competition involves a canoe that the students design and fabricate using lightweight concrete. The competition consists of a design paper, an oral presentation, overall product judging, and the races. The races consist of a men and women’s 200-meter sprint and a 600-meter slalom/endurance race, and a co-ed 200-meter sprint. All of these aspects are used to determine an overall winner and the top team will advance to the national competition.
